All things for Dynamic Auto Painter
I don’t remember who created these two fine AOPs since they didn’t come with any informative help files. They were originally published in the old and long gone forum and the creator seems to have left us. But I suppose he or she doesn’t mind them being distributed one more time.
This canvas provides an interesting background for a DAP painting. For diversity, you can also emboss this picture and invert it (or not). This is a 100% crop from a painting showing the effect. You can either load it into your DAP canvas directory (and it should work for either DAP x64 Pro or the original version) or you can add it as a layer in your graphics editing program with an overlay blend, which will give you a bit more control over sizing and opacity. This embossed brushstrokes canvas can be used to emulate thicker paint brushstrokes on a DAP painting. It was created from some of the strokes in the new DAP GoghHD template. Beginning version 2.5.4 DAP has new build-in way of archiving templates for distribution as a single DPK file and also correctly installing those archives from the created dpk archive.
This should avoid the confusion what files go where for users trying to install the template and also make easier to collect all the files when distributing.
In the beginning this AOP seemed only suited for forest paintings and was therefore named Deep Forest. It was primarily meant for paintings with large, rough strokes but in the end I also made a version with thinner strokes. It now has several palettes and is hopefully also usable for other motives than trees.
During creation of new AOPs I make lots of brush strokes and colour palettes that I don’t use. But sometimes I find out that one certain set of strokes works better with another palette than the one it was meant for. Classics is a collection of four different styles made of previusly unused combinations of colour palettes and brush strokes.

Gruppe_wc was created by Vitaly (also known as Piker77). I have no blurb’ to post along with this AOP. I can say it is one of my favourite AOPs, I particularly like Palette #8 on water scenes as seen in the example on the left. FWIW, the sample was run at defaults with no additional processing.

“This AOP is a fun attempt at imitating simple oil brush strokes and duplicating the colors in the underlying photo. There is no effort to mimic any known painter’s style. Works well with landscapes, animals, flowers and some portraits. Default/recommended settings are 50%/50% Expressive / Realistic, 90% Wet, 50%/50% Faithful / Impress, 100% Real. Experiment with the Wet / Dry setting for a slightly different look. Dry reveal does not run unless you create a mask. Use your mouse to bring out more detail.”
“There are 3 palettes which all use virtually the same colors. However, each has a different “brush” texture. Experiment to see which one works best on a particular painting. “Paper” canvas is used by default; try “oil” or a custom canvas for interesting variations.”

Back in October 2009, Mary Warner posted this AOP. Unfortunately, the files were in the old forum and the links no longer work. Mary has been quite busy and hasn’t been able to edit her original post. As we can only edit our own posts, I’ve decided to upload my copies so any who would like to download this AOP can do so.
